PING Swing Analysis Lab

Student in the PING Swing LabThe Ping Swing Analysis lab is a sound proof indoor facility where students learn to analyze, monitor, teach and improve their golf swings as well as their students' golf swing. Each student has the opportunity to use Full Swing Golf and the JC Video system.

  • Full Swing Golf enabling each student to play up to 26 different premier golf courses from around the world and in a variety of formats. Courses include The Old Course at St. Andrews, Pebble Beach Golf Links and others. In addition, Full Swing Golf has a practice screen where students can see and measure how fast they are swinging the club, how far the ball is going, how far off line each shot is and the consistency of each of their golf swings.
  • The JC Video system is truly the best in the industry. Mark Connell, the owner of the JC Video system, has put together clip swings of all tour players enabling each student to see what the pro's swing looks like compared to their own swing. The big screen allows each student to work one-on-one with an instructor or to swivel, allowing a class the opportunity to see what is happening. JC Video allows us to capture each of student's swings and to see how their progress is from week to week or month to month. This system can also put a student's swing up right next to the tour professional of their choice. Cameras are located straight on, down the line and behind the student to help from all angles.

In addition to Full Swing Golf and JC Video systems we have the most current mats available for use with regular golf tees. The rest of the area is carpeted with putting carpet and two holes for practicing chipping and putting skills.

A seating area located at the back of the room is equipped with stools with the ASU Sparky logo along with tables so multiple people can share the room at one time.

The PING Swing Analysis Lab was funded by a gift from the Solheim family, owners of PING Golf.
